Java

Succubus and Regent Queen of Aranset

In the time of the Pharaohs, her beauty and status in the Egyptian court made her the first choice to marry the prince that would become the next pharaoh, but in those days the princes were twins; Lexhai, the first born was destined to rule but Orel, the second one was jealous enough to plot an assassination. Arriving to this world minutes after his brother is what separated Orel from the throne. But the two princes had the same face and to get him out of the way would be so easy that Orel gave in to temptation. Lexhai, uninterested in the throne, stepped down and walked way to exile; but the beloved prince was followed by the noble ladies, the artist, the healers, engineers, builders, slaves and many guards. Java married Orel and she became queen of Egypt, but it was Lexhai who she really loved and if something we know about Java is that she was used to always get what she wanted.

1500 a.D. Aranset

It is believed that Lexahi and his followers lived like nomads for years until they find a secret land by a waterfall in the Ethiopian jungle and there they settled to build the magnificent city of Aranset. Lexahi became king but instead of calling him pharaoh they called him Shaddar. He lived 300 years, and he had 7 wives which he made queens, and each one had seven daughters: and his 49 daughters gave him 343 granddaughters and then he had over 2000 great granddaughters, but no male heir, until Java came to him hoping to become his wife number eight.

As a succubus, Java was able to go to the Shaddar in his dreams and she stole the seed of life getting pregnant with male twins. But the curse of this branch (The house of Aranset) is the curse of Cain and Abel so there can only be one male every other generation otherwise there will be death. Each day the twins lived inside Java, the life was sucked out of the Shaddar. His body grew old two centuries in few weeks and then he died; but soon after the lionesses that the court had as pets devoured Java’s pregnant body.

3500 bC, Egypt

According to the legend, Aranset flourished and became a magnificent culture equal to the ancient Egypt that gave birth to it; under the all female ruling of the thousands of princesses that descended from the first Shaddar, Aranset became a matriarchal society and a secret paradise, even after the fall of the great Egypt to the hands of Rome.

But in the 15th century, thousands of years after the last Shaddar, Java was reborn and her reincarnation coincided with the return of the Shaddar, the very first male descendent of Lexahi.  Java was the first concubine, the highest social status that a non royal woman could achieve in Aranset, and as such she was destined to became what she always wanted, the Queen on the right of her beloved Shaddar. But the secrets of the heart are unpredictable.

It is said that the Return of the Shaddar, as the Key of Aranset had a divine purpose. Prophesised by all oracles, Aranset, and three more of the Seven Houses would fall under the Angel of Death. In those days the Pope authorized the King of Portugal to invade and conquer the four corners of the Earth.

Regardless how beautiful and powerful she is, Java is not a Gate of life but a demon of the night, and trying to become one by conceiving a child with the Key of Aranset would result in tragedy; but this did not stop her from trying. Even so, the Shaddar went to war riding the back of his lion and single handed he massacred the invaders, all except one, the most beautiful woman he ever saw; with ivory skin, eyes of sky and hair of gold. She was Isabella, a young Portuguese nun from the bloodline of Acktenon, one of the seven houses.

Being a Banshary witch, she suffered the curse of Saint Rodolfo in the 15th century, therefore she was trapped on her beautiful body incapable of dying but not immune to the damages that time brings; but being one of the oldest and strongest succubuses alive, she managed to restore her youth by a demoniac sacrifice of the pure souls. During this five centuries, Java remained alive as regent queen of a floating court, waiting and fearing the return of the Shaddar, but one night 26 years ago, one of the youngest princesses of Aranset escaped the guards and nine months later she was found with a baby boy. Twins were born to her, but Java only knows about one.
