Photography

Photography is the science, art and practice of creating durable images by recording light or otherelectromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film.

We called a number of professional photographers to join in the process of preproduction for the short film Twisted, as an attempt of networking for art creation, on which we developed several storyboards for the film. Photographers also participated in capturing images of the artwork for the fine arts group for the virtual art show of our private collection.
We have to thank the artists who participated in the first stages of the project

How
Are you a photographer or want to become one? There are useful tips

Setting lighting studio

Once you develop a taste for indoor photography it is only a matter of time before you will want your own studio lighting setup. A studio setup can be anything from a few table lamps, and a spare sheet for the background, to an elaborate multi flash system.
Although continuous light can be used, I would thoroughly recommend that, if you want to get serious about studio photography, you invest in a couple of studio flash heads. These do not need to be expensive, nowadays you can get a couple of lights for about the same price as a halfway decent telephoto lens.
Studio flash heads have several advantages for the photographer because they are powerful, even the lower priced units kick out much more power that the average portable flash, and infinitely more than continuous light. If you tried to get the same amount of light from a continuous source the heat would be unbearable. In the old days before studio flash was available photographers used big arc lights. Anything that was sensitive to heat, ice cream for instance, was impossible to shoot, they used to use mashed potato instead and make it look like ice cream.

Choosing Camera

-
Essentially, any camera that has a detachable lens and lets you work in full manual mode to express your creativity as a Photographer is a winner.
-
Higher-resolution sensors and faster shutters can be expensive due to exotic materials and expensive research. But simple image-processing functions and mechanical processes such as mirror lockup (raising a period before exposure) are, in modern electronic cameras, just a matter of the manufacturer putting in or omitting simple computer code that is impractical to add on one's own; omitting them can be just a gimmick to get some customers to also pay for other features they don't really need. Some manufacturers such as Pentax are good about including a comprehensive set of features on their cheaper cameras.
-
Lenses don’t suffer from going out of date and each manufacturer’s range of lenses do fit across their camera models if and when you upgrade, plus adaptors are available which allow you to use lenses and camera bodies from different brands and mix and match across DSLR brands (some auto functions may not be active). Consider an open standard such as "Four Thirds" to avoid overpaying for lenses, bodies or both over time due to vendor lock-in.
-
Remember lenses are very important too.
