This section was dedicated to Music and Sound Engineering aiming to create a platform to promote and assist musician in the production and promotion of their artwork.

During the 2015 lab period we reached out to a number of musicians to participate in the production of the short film “Twisted”

I confess that for some time eve been trying to produce something for this page dedicated to music, hopping that the content was so good that will make me want to go back but the results speaks for themselves.

Music is an art form and cultural activity whose medium is sound and silence. The common elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo,meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture(which are sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound). Different styles or types of music may emphasize, de-emphasize or omit some of these elements. Music is performed with a vast range ofinstruments and with vocal techniques ranging from singing to rapping, and there are solely instrumental pieces, solely vocal pieces (such as songs without instrumental accompaniment) and pieces that combine singing and instruments. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike; "art of the Muses"). In its most general form, the activities describing music as an art form include the production of works of music (songs, tunes, symphonies, and so on), the criticism of music, the study of the history of music, and the aesthetic examination of music. Ancient Greek and Indian philosophers defined music as tones ordered horizontally as melodies and vertically as harmonies. Common sayings such as "theharmony of the spheres" and "it is music to my ears" point to the notion that music is often ordered and pleasant to listen to. However, 20th-century composer John Cage thought that any sound can be music, saying, for example, "There is no noise, only sound."

A musician (or instrumentalist) is a person who plays a musical instrument or is musically talented. Anyone who composes, conducts, or performs music may also be referred to as amusician. Musicians can specialize in any musical style, and some musicians play in a variety of different styles.

I looked for those around me who believe that music is their passion, and I turned that passion into a purpose: “Writers should write, builders should build, and musicians should make music”. On paper it sounds logic and simple, but with musicians, nothing seems to be logic or simple.

Musicians inspire in me emotions of a very high frequency; from love to hate, passion and desire, very powerful emotions tend to arise when I interact deep with musicians. The passion that makes a musician good comes with a price: “Musicians tend to have an ego larger than their talents”.

On my day job salary I went and got microphone, headphones, hardware, software, lights and camera to develop several projects with this kind of artist and few years later I still have nothing to show for.

The intent of this project was to select one among the several musicians to take it to the next level, with a music video and to introduce him/her to my good friends in the music biz. I built a small panel to review and select the best, but my submissions were so poor that
